1. First Time Eating KFC#
Today, while playing with my baby, I ordered two servings of KFC's New Orleans wings. Watching my child eat happily, I couldn't help but recall my own journey.
Before college, I had only eaten KFC once. That was in high school when my cousin found a sister-in-law in the county town. Her family was in real estate, and they were much better off than my brother. She took us out to eat, and my brother ordered a family bucket, which felt like a celebration. Although my brother and his ex-sister-in-law later separated, I am still grateful to her because she introduced me to KFC and made me aware of such delicious food in the world.
My younger brother was there too, and he said it wasn't tasty. My brother replied, "You should have said so earlier; we didn't get enough to eat." In the 2010s, KFC was a rarity in our area. At that time, my brother and sister-in-law were very affectionate, and she particularly doted on my brother and me since we came from the countryside.
After entering college, I still couldn't afford KFC, but there was a cheaper alternative called Wallace. Once, I ordered 50 yuan worth of Wallace at my ex-boyfriend's house, and he said, "You really know how to spend money; just don't let my dad see." At that time, 50 yuan was a huge amount for us. We secretly finished the burgers in the room; they were delicious, and I felt so happy while burping. However, this also meant that my ex-boyfriend and I were not on the same path; he thought such a large sum shouldn't be spent on this, while my mouth knew better what kind of life I wanted.
Eating KFC Again#
After starting work, I worked at a clothing store where the manager was from Anhui, and they loved eating noodles. I always felt unsatisfied after eating noodles and sometimes felt a bit nauseous. Once, while eating shredded pork noodles with pickled mustard greens, I found a fly in my dish. When I told the plump aunt, she said it was fine because flies have protein, so I had to unhappily pay for it. 😭
When I didn't bring lunch, I would order work meals. At that time, KFC's work meal cost about 18 or 20 yuan, and it always included a Coke. I was reluctant to order my favorite New Orleans wings separately, but if there was a combo deal, I would buy it to reward myself.
At that time, my salary was 3,500 yuan, and after six months of work, I saved money to buy a washing machine and color TV for my family, earning the recognition of the village elders, who all thought I was doing well outside. But in reality, I was struggling, hating to take the bus because it made me carsick. Every day commuting to work, switching between morning and evening shifts, I felt particularly depressed when taking the bus in the afternoon.
2. Entering the Crypto World and Saying Goodbye to KFC#
At the end of 2015, I met my first boss through a Didi ride in his BMW. At that time, Didi had just entered the Nanjing market, and a ride only cost a little over 2 yuan, while the bus also cost 2 yuan, and transferring buses cost 4 yuan, so of course, I chose Didi.
Later, my boss thought I was very willing to share because I had just finished an Amway course and took his car home. He believed that my acceptance of such courses indicated an openness to things, which also meant I could accept the crypto world or financial schemes. At that time, my boss was using the crypto world for financial schemes, and I had just graduated and didn't understand these things. During meetings, I would attentively serve his clients.
Once, for business communication, my boss introduced Bitcoin and Ethereum for the first time, and my eyes lit up. Ethereum dropped from over 20 yuan to 3 yuan, and the market users were in despair, but then it surged to over 800 yuan (I can't remember the exact details; there might be discrepancies). My first encounter with the exchange Yunbi made me go home and research how to deposit and withdraw funds on Baidu.
Unfortunately, in the second half of 2016 to 2017, I missed out on 20 million in my life. At that time, Yunbi had many coins that increased by hundreds of times, like SC, and I was almost among the top 100 holders in the entire network, but I exited during the fluctuations. The crypto world awakened my greed, and from then on, I looked down on working days. I took a semi-pyramid scheme course and spent about 80,000 yuan. How could someone earning 3,500 yuan afford such a course? I relied on loans, credit cards, and online loans, and in the following years, I fell into a debt hell.
I borrowed 30,000 yuan and repaid over 50,000 yuan to Yiren Loan within a year; it’s still fresh in my memory. Later, the company that tricked me into thinking I would succeed after the course went bankrupt, but many people, like me, were drained. The company's bankruptcy and my marriage's divorce led to a debt-ridden life for a young person like me.
In that course, I also met a scumbag. In 2017, he tricked me into buying fake foreign exchange, and together with friends, we lost over 100,000 yuan. At that time, I no longer had the right to eat KFC.
After finishing my university internship, I returned to my alma mater for the graduation ceremony. Passing by KFC, I swallowed hard and told a small group of elders that I really wanted to indulge in a meal. One older sister offered me 50 yuan, but I didn't accept it.
3. Days Without the Right to Eat KFC#
Borrowing 80,000 to Go All In on #EOS#
When I was deep in debt and desperate, the crypto bull market of 2017 arrived. After experiencing the 94 incident, many coins surged hundreds or thousands of times. My EOS on the exchange increased tenfold, earning me several tens of thousands, which opened my eyes.
Borrowing Money Reveals People Around Me#
At that time, everyone praised me for my potential and dedication. But when I went to borrow money, a once-gentle older sister suddenly turned into a tiger, saying, "I'm playing at KTV and can't hear your voice. I don't have money to lend you; go find someone else." She had previously expressed sympathy for me, wishing she could throw 5,000 yuan my way. This change left me heartbroken; sigh, no more to say.
Deciding to Borrow 80,000 Online#
I found a young person online who actively lent me money and could take a cut of the interest. Fortunately, a big brother from the Chinese ICP region, whom I called senior brother, came to Nanjing to meet me and directly lent me 50,000 yuan, telling me not to borrow money. He was from Shandong, and I still remember his kindness. But later, I was still very poor, and the Ethereum private placement I participated in with him never issued coins. After a few years in the bear market, my senior brother also ran out of money and asked me for money. At that time, I had just become pregnant, was deep in debt, and really had no money to repay him; I felt terrible.
Until ICP issued, deducting the private placement part offset 50,000 yuan of debt. But my big brother was heartbroken by me, and we no longer kept in touch. So my first bucket of gold was ICP, but my debt was not cleared.
During this time, in 2018, I attended the EOS conference hosted by Captain Wang at the Nanjing Youth Olympic Games, which gave birth to the famous three-wave theory conference in the crypto world. I decided to go all in on EOS. My ex-boyfriend borrowed 300,000 yuan to invest in the crypto world at my urging, and from then on, the crypto world had a pair of star-crossed lovers. Our relationship broke down when we lost money, and later we separated.
4. Again Having the Right to Eat KFC#
When I was over 300,000 yuan in debt, I went to Shanghai to seek fortune, serving foot baths for a year. That was when I was learning the most, taking the subway every day to listen to Teacher Ni Haixia's traditional Chinese medicine courses.
The commute took over four hours: walking for over ten minutes to take the light rail to Line 9, transferring to Line 3 and then Line 1, and walking for another ten minutes to the company. It was tough; on the way, I watched Teacher Ni Haixia's courses like "Human Records" and "Heavenly Records," and my ears developed pimples from wearing headphones. For lunch, I either ate Family Mart convenience meals or mooched off my colleagues.
Once, the manager deliberately ate good food next to me, and I swallowed hard. When the company was thriving, the boss ordered takeout as a reward for us, which was very exquisite. When an extra cake arrived, the boss asked what to do. He and another founder exchanged knowing smiles and said to give it to someone; she would definitely want it. Guess what? I took it, but not because I wanted to eat it; I accepted it with a sense of righteousness because I didn't want to waste food while diligently practicing Buddhism. 😊 But it was also a bit bittersweet.
No Wedding Due to Debt#
Later, I secretly got married, afraid to tell my boss for fear of being fired. At that time, a salary of around 6,000 plus five insurances and one fund was a good job in my eyes, meant to be used to pay off debts. I didn't even use the five days of marriage leave. With over 300,000 yuan in debt, I naturally didn't have a wedding. Writing this, I am in tears; it was so hard back then, so poor that I didn't even have money for a wedding.
Half a year after marriage, I became pregnant. During my pregnancy, I felt nauseous while looking at patients' tongues, not realizing I was pregnant. My hands trembled while serving clients foot baths, and the manager thought I was being dramatic. At a critical moment, a colleague who was pregnant went home, and I felt very dizzy taking the subway every day, nearly fainting, so I had to confess to my boss that I was pregnant. The boss felt deceived.
When I returned to Nanjing, I was pushed out by the train staff in a wheelchair due to severe morning sickness. When I learned I was pregnant, I cried: over 300,000 yuan in debt, how could I raise a child? But this child brought me good luck in the crypto world, and the turning point arrived.
5. The Rabbit's Opportunity for a Comeback#
Unable to work during my pregnancy, I returned to the crypto world. By this time, the crypto world had undergone a change; Yunbi had disappeared, while Binance, Huobi, and OKEx were thriving. My poor EOS could still be traded, so anyone investing in EOS was a big fool. However, all my bad luck in this life was spent holding EOS, and the rest of my life would be good luck.
Binance's Bull Market#
From the explosion of DeFi on Ethereum to Tron, then to Huobi Chain, and finally Binance Chain. I missed the previous rounds, but I gained experience when playing with meme coins on Binance Chain. In this round, I completely cleared my debts and accumulated assets above A7. Because of my past debts, I became cautious and didn't dare to play recklessly after gaining capital.
From then on, I had the right to eat KFC freely. But by the time I turned 30, my figure was not good, and I started to lose weight, so I could only watch my baby eat and swallow hard. 😂😂😂

🔥 Solving Access Issues to OKEx, Binance, Huobi, and Other Exchanges in Mainland China#
Many exchanges' original domain names may be blacklisted, or access speed may be affected due to servers being located overseas. This situation often leaves ordinary users feeling helpless and even doubting whether the exchange itself has issues. In fact, this is more about the network environment rather than a service interruption on the platform itself. To address this, exchanges like OKEx and Binance usually update backup domain names regularly to ensure users can continue to access the official website through alternative addresses.
